Two Crunch teams in first ever NBK Indoor Women

A team composed of girls from various (mainly Oddjob) Crunch teams (Ilse, Gitta, Liz, Puck, Ellen, Marije, Hanneke and me) woke up way too early Sunday morning March 9 in order to play the first NBK (National Cup) indoor for ladies in Tiel. Apart from two so-called equivalent teams from GD, and the two combined teams of Primavera and Ufo; WAF, Ipipourax and the Sponge Babes would be our opponents. We lost our first two games (against the eventual finalists: GD1 and Prima Ufo), but got enough playing-time to get used to each other; resulting in a easy victory (11-4?) over WAF. As we ended up third of our poule and the Sponge Babes fourth of theirs, we got the opportunity to play a game against these yellow Crunch-friends. With some nice blades and defence (anticipating on their kaascuts) we were able to win this game as well. In the last game however, for the 5th/6th ranking, GD2 clearly was the better team. GD1 beat Prima Ufo in an impressive final - it was good to see so many women playing ulitmate on a high level!
